University Coffee House opened its doors in 2019 as an extension of the outreach ministry of University Church. As people loved by God - we are called to embody the heart of God by extending blessing to our neighbors through community partnership, service and intercession.

We’re a big promoter of the idea that community is meant to be lived with greater interdependence than independence.

As a coffee shop, we want to exist as a community hub where partnerships come to life - and dream about seeing resources maximized in a way that best serves the city we get to call home. Because of this desire to build community, we support other nonprofits, groups, and initiatives anyway we can! Whether it is through lending meeting spaces, offering incentives throughout the week, or helping facilitate fundraisers, we want to do whatever we can to multiply impact. Some people think it takes a village, but we think you can do a lot with just a coffeehouse.

We recognize our gifts and strengths and see them in light of how they can be used to serve our neighbors. When you see things differently - you start to notice that latte art can well up joy, intentional listening can make someone feel heard, and a little bit of kindness can go a long way. At the end of the day, we’re here to be a place that extends hospitality and service.
